Today on Red Dress Day, DAWN Canada honours the lives of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people (MMIWG2S).
We remember. We mourn. We act.
As a disability and feminist organization, we stand in solidarity with Indigenous communities demanding justice, safety, and systemic change. Indigenous women and girls and Two-Spirit people with disabilities are disproportionately impacted by violence, and their stories must never be forgotten.
Let red dresses remind us: this crisis is ongoing—and so is our commitment to end it.
