Compensation:  

  • Contract Salary: Approximately $11,143 for 3 months (full-time) 
  • Hourly Rate Range: $23.88 – $29.18/hour 

Position Summary:

We are seeking a partner liaison officer to lead efforts in growing and engaging our membership base. This role is critical to building a strong, connected community and ensuring members receive value through programs, events, and communications.  

The successful candidate will manage the CRM system, support recruitment efforts, and develop inclusive strategies to engage members in organizational activities in non-extractive ways. They will also proactively foster relationships, improve partnerships, enhance engagement frameworks, and support the planning and execution of impactful member events.  

Key Responsibilities: 

Data Management & Reporting:  

  • Maintain and update member and partner contact information in the organization’s databases (CRM) 
  • Generate reports on membership trends and engagement metrics to inform organizational strategies. 

Communications:  

  • Support the project leads in sending timely communications to members, including newsletters, updates, and event invitations. 
  • follow up with members regarding opportunities, feedback, and inquiries. 

Member Support:  

  • Serve as the primary contact for member inquiries, resolve issues, and collect feedback to improve support. 
  • Actively seek ways to enhance the member experience and address concerns effectively. 

Member Engagement & Retention:  

  • Develop programs, events, and communications to engage members 
  • Develop proactive strategies to improve relationships and partnerships with members. 
  • Ensure members feel valued and supported through regular communication and meaningful opportunities to participate in DAWN Canada’s work. 

Membership Recruitment & Development 

  • Lead recruitment activities to grow DAWN Canada’s membership base. 
  • Develop and implement frameworks and strategies for membership development, ensuring inclusivity and alignment with organizational values. 
  • Identify opportunities to include members in organizational activities in non-extractive, meaningful ways. 

Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills. 
  • Experience with CRM systems and marketing tools. 
  • Knowledge of membership development frameworks, including strategies for engagement and retention. 
  • Ability to develop inclusive and non-extractive engagement programs. 
  • Project management is an asset. 
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities. 
  • Understanding of the importance of inclusivity and accessibility in membership activities and events. 
  • Proactive and innovative in developing ways to enhance member relationships
