The InFocus: Bringing People with Disabilities into the Picture project, led by DAWN Canada and CACL, takes a community-based approach to address health and wellness, as well as violence and abuse against people with disabilities and Deaf people. Implemented across 13 provinces and territories, the project focuses on creating coordinated local responses through research, workshops, and safety planning. Phase 1 develops resources for key sectors and individuals, while Phase 2 focuses on safety audits and long-term personal safety planning for people with disabilities and Deaf individuals.
