One vulnerable population not factored into the report's analysis was disabled women. It is a "common and problematic practice," said Bonnie Brayton National Executive Director DAWN Canada
A report released in March 2018 found disabled women were more than twice as likely to report spousal violence than non-disabled women, though homicide rates were not specifically explored.
