This month, Accessible Media Inc’s award-winning interview program, Contact, featured an interview with Doris Rajan, senior consultant for Disabled Women’s Network of Canada or DAWN-RAFH Canada, discussing her recent report, published by the Canadian Breast Cancer Network. The report is titled “Women with Disabilities & Breast Cancer Screening: Identified Problems, Strategies and Recommended Next Steps”

In this interview, she goes into the principal reasons women with disabilities and Deaf women have difficulties accessing breast cancer screening. She expands on the barriers discussed in the report and highlights current work that is being done through DAWN Canada to break them down.
