On April 6th, 2019, we were honoured to receive the UN Special Rapporteur on the rights of people with disabilities, Ms Catalina Devandas, and her team. During this meeting, we talked about the barriers faced by women with disabilities and Deaf women in Canada.

We were joined by ZOOM by Neil Belanger, Executive Director of British Columbia Aboriginal Network on Disability Society (BCANDS) to talk about the situation of Indigenous women with disabilities. We were also joined by ZOOM by Sara Jama from the Disability Justice Network of Ontario.
