Women with disabilities in Canada are the poorest and most economically excluded group, particularly when intersecting with identities such as being mothers, seniors, or racialized. In this brief prepared for the Standing Committee on the Status of Women in Canada (FEWO), DAWN Canada calls for an equity-first approach in addressing economic security, emphasizing the need for accurate data and long-term strategies that include policy and fiscal commitments to support this vulnerable population.
